Late Pick-Up Policy & Fees
JCD operates from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM (and 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM for the Nursery School). Children will not be admitted into the building prior to opening.

A child picked up after 6:00 PM (or 11:30 AM for Nursery School) according to the school’s synchronized clock will incur late fees:

• Standard Late Fee: $10.00 for the first five minutes (6:01 PM to 6:05 PM), plus an additional $2.00 per minute per family thereafter.
• Frequent Late Policy: If a family is late four (4) or more times within a school year, the late fee increases to an incentive rate of $40.00 for the first five minutes, plus $5.00 per minute thereafter. This penalty tier will be lifted after a three-month probation period with zero late arrivals. 

Administrative Late Fee Collection
In the event of a late pick-up, educators on duty will record the exact arrival time in the JCD Late Fee Logbook. The parent/caregiver must initial or sign this log entry on-site.

To prevent workplace tension, JCD staff are prohibited from accepting cash payments on the premises. All late fees will be processed, invoiced, and collected directly by JCD administration through your TUIO account.

Continued Tardiness Escalation
If a family accumulates three (3) late arrivals within a school year, they will be required to attend a mandatory meeting with the Supervisor and/or ED to implement proactive solutions. Continued late pick-ups will be referred to the BOD for review and may result in the withdrawal of childcare services.

Reminder: By law, if a child remains at the center past 7:00 PM and staff have been completely unable to contact parents, guardians, or any emergency contacts, the child will be considered abandoned, and staff will immediately surrender care to the CAS.
