The Admissions and Wait List Process
Enrollment in Daycare programs is open to children 3 years of age through Grade 6. Admissions are based on the current waiting list. While anyone may fill out the applications to attend Jackman Community Daycare, a child must reside in the Jackman School District to be considered for registration for full time preschool. In addition, children admitted to the Daycare for JK to Grade 6 must be registered at and attend Jackman School.
Admissions are based on the current waiting list.

When an application is completed and returned to the Daycare it is is filed in the appropriate program binder in the Daycare Office. Children’s names are grouped by the year they were born and new applications are placed at the back of each wait list. Applications are not accepted until after the child's date of birth.
We do not have a sibling policy, all applications are filed based on when they are received.
Preschool & kindergarten intake usually takes place in April, with a start date of September 1. Families are called in the order in which their child’s application appears on the waiting list. The children are moved up to the next room based on their grade in school. Once offered a daycare spot, families have 48 hours to accept the space.
There is no application fee; however upon acceptance of a space, a non-refundable payment of 2 weeks (10 days), of room fees is required. This payment will be credited to the first month invoice. If families decide not to attend, a refund will not be provided.
Parents must also provide 2 pieces of proof that they do, in fact, live in Jackman’s catchment area before their child can be admitted. All forms, including medical and emergency information forms, must be submitted during the registration process.
